Tezzera Review: All-in-One CRM and Project Management for Designers

Tezzera Review: A Designer-Built CRM + Project Management Tool

This is my initial review of Tezzera as a business owner who has a variety of project types after about one month of use. Let’s get into it!

Built by Abbey Grew of Wayfarer, Tezzera was born after seeing designers settle for CRMs that didn’t quite fit their workflow. This platform is built for designers by a designer, combining the essentials of a CRM with project management tools in one place.

Primarily, Tezzera serves as a CRM with features like contracts, invoicing, and client portals, while also offering project management with tasks and templates for each project type—or fully customizable setups. Proposal features are coming soon, which will make it an even more robust tool for client-facing work.

Tezzera User Experience & Interface

One of the first things I noticed is how intuitive Tezzera is. Unlike other platforms with steep learning curves, this one feels clean and straightforward. It’s robust without feeling bulky or overloaded, which makes daily use enjoyable rather than overwhelming.

You can use groups as pipeline management, or like I do, to categorize types of clients: retainers, my own business, SEO projects, and full web projects. Internal chats and email features make communication easy, and workflows (with more coming soon) plus time tracking automatically populate invoices—saving a lot of manual work.

CRM Features

Tezzera has the CRM features you expect, with some key advantages for designers and small teams:

  • Client Management: Easily organize clients, track projects, and keep everything in one place.
  • Client Portals: Clean, professional portals for sharing invoices, contracts, and files.
  • Internal Chat & Email: Keep communications centralized within the platform.
  • Workflows & Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and time tracking for invoicing.

Compared to Honeybook, Dubsado, or Willowspace, it feels more streamlined while giving you the flexibility to manage multiple projects and client types in one space.

Project Management Features

Project management in Tezzera is simple but powerful:

  • Task Management: Assign tasks to team members or clients. Tasks appear on dashboards and calendars automatically.
  • Task Details: Add descriptions, videos, comments, files, and more. Unlike some other tools, here you can hide tasks from clients or assign them directly.
  • Team Collaboration: Everyone stays in the loop with updates and comments.
  • Meeting Booking: Syncs with Google Calendar (I’m not using this feature since I’m on Microsoft 365 and Teams, but it’s handy for other users).

For someone like me who has used Monday.com for three years, this is a game-changer because now I can manage CRM + project management in one platform.

Pricing & Plans

Tezzera’s pricing is super affordable, in my opinion, especially for a 2-in-1 tool:

  • I was paying over $440 USD yearly for 3 users on Monday.com just for project management.
  • I snagged the Founder’s Circle pricing for $290 USD yearly, which will never increase.
  • Additional team members are $5 each, billed quarterly.
  • Without the Founder’s Circle pricing, plans are $35 monthly or $350 yearly.
  • There’s also a $5 one-month trial, which is perfect to test it out before committing.

For comparison, it’s a fraction of the cost of running multiple apps like Monday.com, Willowspace, and others.

Integrations

Currently, Tezzera integrates with Google Apps, Zapier, and Stripe, with QuickBooks and Xero in the works. More integrations are expected as the platform grows.

Pros & Cons

Favorites:

  • Custom branding and visually appealing interface
  • Easy to use, intuitive workflow
  • Combines CRM and project management in one system
  • Task management is detailed and flexible

Cons:

  • Brand new platform, so some bugs exist
  • Some features (like proposals) are still coming
  • Smaller knowledge base and fewer reviews

Features I’m Most Excited For

Once proposal features are introduced, users will be able to:

  • Set services and add them to beautiful proposals
  • Automate contracts and invoices when proposals are approved
This will make it an even more complete solution for designers and agencies.

Overall Verdict

I’d give Tezzera 8/10. Some features are missing but are actively being worked on. I’ve done trials or paid for Honeybook, Dubsado, Basecamp, Notion, and Willowspace. The first three were complicated and didn’t have everything I wanted in one place. Notion and Willowspace were good, but lacked the ease or specific features I needed.

I’ve used Monday.com for project management and love it, but Tezzera lets me combine project management and CRM in one spot, replacing multiple apps and subscriptions:

  • Willowspace (CRM)
  • Monday.com (project management)
  • Wave (invoicing)
  • LawDepot (contracts)
  • InDesign (for custom proposals)

Tezzera is a promising tool for designers, small teams, and agencies looking to simplify workflows without sacrificing power. I’m excited to continue using it and see how it evolves!
